At a meeting with Dr Krishna Mandaleson to discuss the future of specialist care in Yarram it was agreed that Dr Mandaleson would continue to deliver a reduced service to his most vulnerable patients in Yarram.

Commencing August 2018, Dr Mandaleson will visit Yarram each fortnight. Ms Boag said this a wonderful outcome for those Yarram patients whose health makes travel to Sale difficult. Dr Mandaleson has visited Yarram for many years providing specialist medical care to patients with complex needs. He has supported our doctors and the hospital.

Dr Mandaleson will see all new patients referred by Yarram GPs, patients aged 80 and over and intellectually impaired patients at the Yarram Medical Centre; ph 5182 0333 for an appointment.

All other patients wishing to see Dr Mandaleson should make an appointment to see him in Sale; ph 5143 8560.

Ms Boag expressed her thanks and appreciation to Dr Mandaleson for his years of service and is delighted that YDHS has retained such a valuable service. Dr Mandaleson is planning to take some well-earned leave in July and will work with the Yarram Medical Centre to ensure his time at Yarram is directed to those most vulnerable.
