On Thursday afternoon, 8th December, YDHS held its annual Christmas celebration for volunteers. About 30 people, including volunteers and YDHS staff, gathered at the health service where they played Christmas themed games and enjoyed Christmas themed afternoon tea. Many people dressed up for the Best Christmas themed outfit fashion parade. First prize was awarded to Elaine Wright for her Christmas tree dress. Two Yarram Secondary College students, Mackenzie Walker and Tayla Dwyer, entertained the crowd singing a mixture of Christmas carols and modern music. YDHS volunteer Malcolm May also read some of his colourful poetry. At the conclusion of the event each volunteer was invited to take a Christmas bauble from the tree as a memento of their time spent at the health service. The afternoon was a great way to reward the wonderful work done throughout the year by YDHS volunteers and to wish them a Merry Christmas.

Attached are some photos from the Christmas function. We have obtained verbal permission from everyone to publish them in the paper.
