Occupational therapy

Our occupational therapists are health professionals trained to look at the daily activities you need or want to do in your home. They look at how you do these activities to find out what type of supports or changes you need to make these activities safer and easier for you, including the use of aids or equipment if necessary. Their goal is to enable people to participate in the activities of everyday life, move from dependence to independence and maintain quality of life.

Physiotherapy

Our physiotherapists are qualified health professionals who assist you to restore, develop and maintain the movement and functional ability of your body. Our physiotherapists assist community members with pain relief and those suffering from a range of health conditions.

Podiatry

At YDHS we offer podiatry services. Foot care is important for everyone and is especially important for people with conditions that affect the feeling in your feet, such as diabetes.

Speech pathology

Our speech pathologists are qualified health professionals who work with community members of all ages with communication and swallowing difficulties. YDHS’ speech pathology programs support people to achieve their functional goals by offering individual or group therapies as well as education and training.
