A simple question can make a powerful difference this May.

May We Talk? – a month long mental health and wellbeing campaign launched by Yarram and District Health Service (YDHS) – invites staff to check in with one another and start meaningful conversations.

The campaign encourages YDHS staff to look out for one another, offer support and normalise conversations about mental health in a supportive and respectful way.

According to YDHS Chief Executive Officer Paul Head, the campaign was borne out of anecdotal feedback from staff across the health service.

“Current events across the world – from global conflicts to economic uncertainty to cost of living pressures – are taking a toll and it’s no surprise that for many people, their mental health has taken a bit of a hit as a result,” Mr Head said.
