About Yarram and the surrounding district

You can learn more about the Yarram and surrounding district by visiting the Yarram Traders and Tourism webpage.

We are located 220 kilometres south east of Melbourne on the South Gippsland Highway in rural Victoria.  Timber and Dairy farming are our predominant industries along with cattle and sheep grazing.  We are proud of our prosperous history, the township of Yarram was gazetted in 1893 and established as a market town.  We are ideally situated to enjoy the benefits of the rain forested Tarra Bulga National Park, the surf along the Ninety Mile Beach, sailing and fishing in the protected waters of Corner Inlet surrounding the historic port town Port Albert and easy access to the world famous Wilson’s Promontory National Park.

Yarram and its district genuinely is a great place to live and work.
