YDHS is recruiting to a variety of volunteer roles within the health service.

We are currently seeking:

  • Weekly drivers for the Mobility Group program on Mondays. This service involves transporting clients from their home to the health service, and then returning after class to take clients home.
  • A monthly driver for the Shopping Bus program on Fridays. This involves collecting clients at their homes and bringing them in to Yarram to shop, then taking them home afterwards.
  • Caddies for both programs listed above. Caddies assist the driver with navigation and loading and unloading passengers.
  • Someone who enjoys knitting to create craft pieces with a Crossley House resident.
  • Casual activities assistants for the Planned Activity Group (PAG). In this role volunteers assist staff to run activities for clients.

All volunteers are provided with relevant training and staff support. Day and time are flexible and based on volunteer’s interests.

We use an 11 seater bus. No special licence is required.

If you have an idea for a volunteer program or are available on weekends we would also love to hear from you.
