Our Mission
To excel at providing quality, efficient, people-centred care for our community.
Our Vision and Values
Yarram and District Health Service strives to maintain its recognised reputation as a leading rural health service. We regard quality care, integrity, professionalism and inclusive consultation with residents, their family members, YDHS staff and volunteers as core values of our residential care services.
Crossley House Hostel provides residential care for up to 30 residents, offering a home like environment with immediate access to the medical and health care services offered by YDHS. Accommodation is in single person rooms, each room is ensuite. Crossley House has a large combined dining and lounge room with two smaller lounge room areas available to residents. The hostel has a large sunny outdoor area set-up to enable residents to comfortably take part in some light gardening activity. Residents are encouraged to maintain their independence by remaining connected with friends and family and their everyday relationships and associations. Our Leisure and Lifestyle staff offer a range of activities, both group and individual, designed to keep residents engaged and stimulated. All resident’s meals are prepared in our kitchen by YDHS food services staff under stringent food services standards and in consultation with a dietician ensuring resident’s nutritional requirements are met. Please refer to our Residential Aged Care Handbook link for more details or contact our Residential Admissions Officer on 03 5182 0222.
