2018 2019 Annual General Meeting

The Board Chair welcomed approximately 50 attendees to the 2018 2019 Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 20 November 2019.

 

The Board Chair acknowledged the work of long serving Chief Executive Officer Ms Colleen Boag and welcomed incoming Chief Executive Officer Ms Bernadette Wardle, the reaccreditation of our aged care facilities, the nearing completion of the new Integrated HealthCare Centre, air conditioning installation at St Elmo’s Nursing Home, Crossley House Hostel and acute areas in 2019 2020 and the development of the 2019 to 2024 Strategic Plan.

 

Eight staff who had reached 10, 15 and 20 years of service were recognised and congratulated as was long serving Audit & Risk Committee Chair, Mr Garry Stephens and Ms Robyn McLachlan who had reached her 10-year tenure as a Board Member.

 

Strengthening Hospitals Response to Family Violence (SHRFV) Project at Yarram

YDHS SHRFV Project Worker gave a presentation to the Board on the scope and progress of the SHRFV project that was commenced in January 2018.

 

To commemorate International Day of the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November Board Directors signed the Family Violence banner as a commitment to ‘call out’ all forms of disrespect towards women.

 

Local Board Member

Local people with an interest in the success of Yarram and District Health Service are encouraged to apply for a board position. We are seeking skills in information technology in particular but primarily those with strong community commitment.
