Board Bulletin for November 2018

2018 Annual General Meeting – 21 November 2018

The Board Chair acknowledged the work undertaken to successfully prepare and manage capital works submissions; development of Yarram as a rural generalist training post, rollout of the NDIS, full accreditation of all our services and the preparation of a new 5-year Strategic Plan.

The CEO reported on performance for the year stating that performance against budget showed an operating surplus of $4,688. Steep increases for ambulance costs and costs related to increased clinical activity and work to prepare for the capital work projects impacted on our performance.

Four videos made in partnership with Health Issues, the Community Partnership Committee, Wulgunngo Ngalu Learning Place and YDHS staff were shown. Videos are on preventing infection, preventing pressure sores, preventing falls and identification; videos are being shown to Acute patients with positive feedback and replace all paper handouts on these issues.
