Ms Robyn McLachlan, Board Director – retires

Ms McLachlan’s tenure concluded June 30 2019. During this time Ms McLachlan has been an active Board Director holding executive roles and committee roles throughout, including:

  • Treasurer between 2011 and 2013
  • Investment Committee member between 2011 and 2016
  • Medical Appointments Advisory Committee member – 2017 to June 2019
  • Finance Committee member – December 2018 to June 2019
  • Audit & Risk Committee member – 2011 to June 2019

Ms McLachlan contributed to the development of YDHS’ Bylaws and was a highly valued Board member with sound understanding of governance and the Board’s fiduciary responsibilities.

Ms McLachlan’s service will be recognised at the 2019 AGM.

Mr Shaun Braybrook, Board Director – Queens Birthday Honours – Australian Corrections Medal.

The Board joined with all YDHS’ staff to congratulate Mr Braybrook for the recognition of his achievements in the Queen’s Birthday Honours. Mr Braybrook was awarded the Australian Corrections Medal.

2019 Appointment of Board Directors

The Minister for Health has confirmed the reappointment of Ms Frankie MacLennan for a further twelve month to June 2020, the reappointment of Mr Stuart Jillings to June 2022 and the appointment of Ms Jennifer Davis to June 2022.

Appointment of community representative to Audit & Risk Committee

Appointment of Mr Alan Hall to the Audit and Risk Committee. Alan is the current Wellington Shire Mayor and has served on Audit and Risk Committees in several local government and educational facilities.

Safer Care Victoria

The Board endorsed 2 strategies in Safer Care Victoria’s “Partnering in healthcare, framework for better care and outcomes”. Under this framework YDHS has signed a Statement of Intent that commits us to increase community involvement at Board Committee level and to work with staff to develop communication.
